If we had bigger stadium like KY and Tulane and UNO, we might could play better baseball and attract decent coaches?

LSU admins. missed the boat by NOT including a berm like area for student/beer drinking/outdoor cooking crowd....see MSU,OleMiss etc.
POOR planning and the usual "who gives a shite what the PAYING fans, might want" !

As a current student, I speak for the majority of us when I say that, we would love this

No just make it comfortable for the core of your fans.. maybe they would show up if they didn't have to sit in Bleachers, eat stale peanuts and pay for over priced food.

Skip actually planned on a berm in right center field, although I don't think the beer drinking/outdoor cooking was included. But when the estimates came back for the dirt moving, soil compaction, testing, etc. (as per Skip) it was too expensive for the initial pricing. He intended to come back and add it later but obviously no one has pursued it to any end.

LSU has lost touch with the core fan

Or just don't care.

And what makes it worst, look at the other stadiums around the league. They have comfortable chair back seats down the baselines into the outfield. LSU went on the cheap with uncomfortable bleachers. It's sad they have a supporting fan base and give they high school seating.

Sad and Cheap move LSU.

But the money we saved by not doing chairbacks, has given LSU enough extra money to pad Paul's contract thru the end of eternity...

At the time, the focus was on making things look like the old box as much as possible. This was also driven by a lot of paying fans. I would have liked a more forward thinking attitude, but I was not a paying fan anyway.

Don't add seats...take some out.

Take out the right field bleachers and build a berm filled with grills, Aleva's beer garden, a big screen to the right of the foul pole (since every game is already on tv, and it helps the outfield engage in the pitching more being so far out), take out one of the playgrounds for a mini home run derby or cup ball field, and a few other ideas to help both in attracting smaller crowds for midweek, or more available tix for Super Regionals.

Old Box > New Box. They don't even fill the stadium up now. That attendance figure they throw out is paid attendance. They went all corporate with the new stadium and it shows. People or should I say businesses use the box as a meeting place or a perk for employees. Where once everyone in the park new what was going on and had a very high baseball IQ. I'm not saying it's totally gone but the fan experience compared to years of old yea big difference. But hey just my opinion.

As the years have gone on, I've come to notice I don't feel like I'm at a college game at all in the new box. I loved the stadium when it was new and novel, but now it feels like I'm attending a minor league game... which is a vibe I guess maybe the players like, but as a fan I miss the college feel.

Ummm i don't think the box has been filled to capacity yet this year, but hell "if you build it they will come". Maybe that applies to seat additions too

-they should probably take seating out for all chairback
-360 degree concourse
-more suites
-berm for students to drink

then we'd make a case for best baseball stadium. I would trade the box for Baum and maybe even Swayze (at least for atmosphere)
