Should LSU go after Larry Porter?

He has a history here of being a great recruiter...Currently at UNC. I think it would be a good move....

How many great recruiters do we need?

as many as possible, especially on the offensive side of the ball

Good point. Our defensive recruiting is solid.

raymond and o are beast at recruiting, along with paveto. we just hired aranda for his tremendous x and o's, but he will probably be a great recruiter here.
i know they all recruit both sides of the ball, but i would like to get a great recruiter on the offensive side.
grimes has actually been surprisingly good though.

No, come one come all. As long as the are within the best options for the program's upward direction.

This was the knock on him when he was here. People also bitched about his RB subs having no rhyme or reason (i.e. Charles Scott lack of 2nd half carries vs Kentucky 2007)
What makes you think that was Porter as opposed to Miles or OC?

No. He isn't a good coach.
Let's be honest though, do we know how good of a coach Frank Wilson really is? I could coach the RB's LSU gets. No doubt he gets the best to come here.

Coaching in college football is 90% getting the best to come to your program.

Because that's a large portion of the RB coach's job and the rotation patterns under Wilson looked way different than under Porter.
