Should fournette return kick offs
Posted by frog legs on 7/28/15 at 2:51 pm98
I think the answer is no, too much risk of injury and
They have many other players that can do it. Durel, Donte Jackson and Trey Quinn would do a great job. How many NFL teams have their feature back returning kick offs. The answer is 0... Thoughts comments?

Considering the workload we all except LF to receive this year at RB, i don't think he should be returning kicks. He's gonna need every break he can get and risk injury as well. Plus, we have guys more than capable of handling the returns as well. I think Guice will be back there returning kicks, along with someone like a Donte Jackson, Chark, etc.

Yes. You want that kid on the field as much as possible. The biggest risk of injury is to the other team's players standing in his way.

no. He has speed, but not enough wiggle for a return guy.
With the exception of the ND return (which was straight up the gut, by the way) I thought he was average at kick returns last year.

No, but I read somewhere on here that part of the deal when he chose LSU was that he would get to return kickoffs.
Pretty sure you are talking about his conversation with CFW when he told him he wanted to contribute anyway he could... returning kickoffs was an example he gave as something he would be willing to do.

I agree.
I don't think he should be at RB either for the same reason.

It is not anyone's decision other than the coaching staff...

How many NFL teams have their best cornerback returning kicks. How about their best receiver? This isn't the NFL, it's college; lots of teams have their best player returning kicks. There should be no concern about injury with a kid that is this talented. LSU isn't paying him a contract, he is not an investment. They only have the kid for 2 more years, I'm pretty sure they'll find every opportunity to get him on the field if it helps.
Now if you want to argue that he isn't the best player for the job then that's another thing.
