I read through a few pages of the scrimmage report. Noticed there was no mention of him at all. How will he fit into the offense this season??

As a WR, presumably not on the long balls that he seems to struggle with.

I hope he gets his share of crossing routes.

Just found it funny that there was not even a mention of him at all in the report. I read through a few pages and didn't see him talked about much there either. It seems that he a great athlete he just doesn't have a real position. Can't throw good enough to be a QB, he's not a every down type of back, he doesn't have exceptionally great hands to be a great WR. But he can do special things when he does get it. It worked for Percy Harvin, maybe Shep's just not as good.

He's no where near as good as Harvin but after another year of practices I completely expect Shepard to be a dynamic WR.

Having guys like Rueben Randle in the #1 slot to take some heat off is gonna do wonders.. he just needs to be catching like 100 passes a day Maybe get some Stick'em too.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had a big year. This will be his 2nd full season at WR so he'll be more comfortable at the position and with Randle drawing a lot of attention at the other WR spot he should get many opportunities.

Yes...And the fact that JJ will probably be our QB and the short passing game is what he does best should help Shep out too.

Here's the problem: It's not a new offense as we all thought we may get with Kragthorpe. Thats evidenced by the fact that Miles keeps citing JJ and Lee ahead of Mett because of their knowledge of the system. So, although he may get a few more touches, everything will probably be pretty close to the same as last year. And that's unfortunate, because he has been extremely underutilized.

All I know is that if you watch the practice vids on tigerrag, it is clear that Shep's hands have improved tremendously. He made a couple of very impressive catches on the sideline in practice this week.

Hope he can carry that over to the games.

Shep has definitely improved..his routes and breaks are sharper and hands drastically improved..SK mentioned several times that he will get more touches..GC made no serious effort to involver him consistently in the offense and contrary to what most rantards believe, it isnt that easy of a switch to SEC caliber receiver..

I hope you guys are right. Just found it weird that there was no mention of him at all in the scrimmage reports.

This. RR is going to demand double teams all day. I really would like Shep to stay as the Y or the H in 4wr sets(slot opposite of D.Lo or Clement at TE) with Wright, Boone, or Williams at the X
