Setting gameplay aside, who else was blown away with Lambeau?

I mentioned previously that I have been burned so many times by LSU not living up to the hype during Miles' time that I do not walk into an LSU game expecting anything anymore. Shame on me if I was to be caught off guard Saturday.

Having said that, I've got to say that Lambeau was the best football stadium I've been to. It completely lived up to the hype. I really hope to take my sons up there for an NFL contest when they are older. Overall really enjoyed the town as well.

They were great. Most assholes I witnessed were our own.

I saw one dust up couldn't tell who start what. The Wisconsin kids were college age and not letting it go after their first beer, but I wouldn't judge them on that.

Yeah the worst Wisky fans I saw were 18-19 year old 130lb guys possibly getting hammered for the first time.

Lambeau was amazing. We should be pressuring louisiana to put that much effort in the dome. Wisky fans were great. Nobody really talked shite. I also do not think they could come anywhere near leaving an sec school after a loss.

Probably not. I would be curious what Madison is like after close loss though.

Had a great time. The Wisconsin fans were some of the best. We got thanked numerous times for visiting. I was very surprised how nice those Northerners were.

Nicest fans. Great stadium. Joe Alleva should take not of how an old stadium can still be accommodating and clean.

I encountered 3 douchebags the whole day and they were in their 20s but it wasn't that bad. They rest of the fans were great and really nice.

Other than the line to get in and the lines for the bathroom, it was an amazing place.

This was the line at the oneida nation gate after I got in.

We had a tailgate set up on the corner of Lombardi and Holmgren and there was plenty of action. Both verbal and physical from their fans as they walked by not only us but other LSU fans in general. Nothing you wouldn't see at and other SEC game really. But they were all started by Wisconsin people.

All in all it was a great experience once you take out what happened on the field.

I was impressed with the renovations they did to Lambeau. They kept the old structure in place but built a first class concourse around the original structure.

Being able to pop into a great bar like 1919 and order some great local craft beers during halftime was a nice treat.

Yes. Very impressive remodel while maintaining the essence of a classic venue. That's not easy to achieve.

If been to a ton of MLB and NFL stadiums. It was much nicer than I expected. But it's the NFL, the whole point is to have an experience for the fans. College is built for football not for the fans.
But blown away no it's just a stadium. Was it nice heck yes.

To be completely honest, I wasn't blown away by Lambeau... I knew what I was getting ready to step into, and it met and exceeded expectations. The concourses were accommodating and clean, plenty of food and beer options, the people were incredibly gracious.

What did catch me by surprise was the size of Lambeau, I guess I've been spoiled to expecting 90,000+ when it comes to seating capacity. However, I have to say that the intimacy of the setting was incredible.

Product on the field... well, I'm still drinking to that.

To date, 2011 at Tennessee has been my #1 ranked road trip.

We were on course for a new #1 of all-time trip....and then the ball was kicked off.

I loved it. It felt sacred to me, which is something I haven't experienced at a stadium. Stadium's usually feel like gigantic party venues, but this one felt almost like a church. It was still a party, but it was classy and clean and full of great history. Hallowed ground. Which is why it sucks so bad that our team performed so poorly.
