It's all pitching. Our top guys can keep us in it. After our weekend rotation, we're terrible.
I don't disagree and that is why teams on the top half are doing better, it seems they have more pitching depth.

Yeah, I imagine a RPI drop after losing today. Sucks they couldn't win their tourney after being so good in the regular season. Might sneak in, though.

This is Bama's batting practice pitcher, right?

it's not only been this game. The depth and talent is starting to shine for the top teams in this tournament.
Again, it's razor thin. Alabama was 10 hits away from being in a regional and having a much better record in the SEC. Even though LSU is the clear #1 team, Alabama pushed them far and could have easily taken two of three. But LSU finished. That's what it comes down to in the SEC...who finishes.
Same with Alabama/aTm on Wednesday. aTm scores a run in the 8th. Alabama gets the tying run thrown out at home. The top teams are very good, no doubt, but it kind of sucks for the other teams who aren't terrible, they just have to deal with top national teams.

By the defending champs. This isn't that surprising. Vanderbilt wants that rematch with aTm.

Note to Astro: score needs updating

they are 0-5 vs top 50 I don't think they will make it. They will also be in the 50s in the RPI after this.
There are teams with much better Resume than Southeastern.

I understand you argument I just don't think it is razor thin as you are trying to make it out to be. Baseball causes games to be close because of the game it is. LSU had to beat Southern in extra innings are you saying Southern is a couple hits from being as good as LSU?
Based on what I've seen in this tournament and what I've seen all season, there is a big drop off between the top 5 and the rest of the conference. Ole Miss isn't bad but they aren't as good as Arkansas.

is this guy really saying we should punish guys for stealing when up big? Is this the same guy calling for a 7 inning Sunday?

You know you can't compare midweek with weekend. When it comes to post season, it is all about depth and who's hot. I'm sure you can tell me the top five teams in the SEC, and three of those teams will get beat by an "inferior" opponent before Omaha. But that's just baseball, and I see your point.

And, wouldn't it make sense to get a few insurance runs so they can 10 run rule Bama in a few innings?

OK, I'm getting conflicting reports on LSU's game time Saturday.
3:30 or 6:30?

Looking more and more likely that Tulane is headed to BR
