they did the same thing vs Auburn in a 1 run game. Almost cost us the game.

Even though this change might benefit Alabama should they win today, I don't like it. I do understand it, though. Can't expect much of a game from a Tuesday team that is on game five in five days against a rested, better team. It sucks big time for the winners, but it attempts to level the playing field for terrible teams.

I actually really like the tournament format. Home/Away designation is the only thing I would change.

It creates a more exciting atmosphere. Two true semifinal games over a possible four game grind prior to the championship. It makes for a better title game.
Still, I always liked knowing if you won the opening two as a high seed, you were almost guaranteed to make it to Sunday.

While I want to win the SECT, we have likely locked up a #1 seed overall this weekend. Wouldn't be the end of the world if we lost in the semi's.

It's pretty stupid but at the same time i understand them wanting to save teams pitching.
SECT is a great accomplishment, but you dont want to earn it at the expense of your regional.

Different ways to look at it. Is 1 extra game going to hurt us that bad? Everyone will have Mon-Thursday off. That is ample time off. No one will be over worked. Plus you are continuing to build on momentum and the team knows what it's like to win a tournament.

I hate what Alabama does to me as a fan. I expected them to lose Tuesday. The more they win, the more I want to believe. When in reality, I should know Vanderbilt is going to kill us today to get a rematch with aTm. But dammit, I want to believe.
