I remember back in I believe 1990, LSU and Miss State were playing and in like the 3rd or 4th it started raining like crazy. LSU had a big lead but since the game wasn't official they declared them co-champs and no one got the automatic bid.

Remember that too. Didn't Dawgs have to beat us 2 out of three and we were way ahead in the 3rd game poised to take it all?

Can't remember if it was a single game championship or not. But we were up like 7-0 or something.

Thanks , couldn't remember exactly , but like you said , I knew we were well ahead and on our way to winnining it all, when the game was called and ruled co-tourney champs with the Bulldogs.

I dont see DBU getting a national seed..paired with A&M most likely.
This year will only feature 2 national seeds that had one last year, normally that number is higher.

it comes down to
Texas A&M
TCU
Missouri Sate
Dallas Baptist
Vanderbilt
for the last two
I would say TCU and Vanderbilt is the two best chances to get a top 8 seed. Than Texas A&M than Missouri State than Dallas Baptist.

actually DBU may be paired with LSU. There could be a situation where there is 1 national seed from Texas and 4 national seeds in Texas. Obviously one of those texas regionals has to go out of State. If Texas A&M and TCU both host that makes it easy for where DBU and Houston goes.

Agree there will be some logistics problems if what I think happens plays out.
Houston, DBU and TCU not getting national seeds.
In this scenario you would probably have DBU with A&M, Houston with LSU, and TCU with probably Mo ST, outside chance at ILL.
But if those are switched I wouldnt mind getting DBU..I think Texas could come out of that regional and set up the matchup we didnt get to see last yr. TEX/LSU
