Why did Wofford pinch hit instead of Romero?

Well at least we won't have to hear this tomorrow...
We're tearing it, burning it down, got a front pass to this old town.

Romero has sucked big time against sliders and Anderson would have made quick work with 3 bad swings on low and away that weren't locating well.

I don't think Florida will.. But that's easy to just take the field

This game was eerily similar to earlier in the season, with the lack of clutch hitting. Hopefully it was just this one game.

We lost this game in the top of the third when our 2 best hitters come up with runners on the corners with 0 outs and we can't get a fricking run home

So I'm sure this is a stupid question and I'll get ridiculed for it, but isn't it double elimination? We're not eliminated yet, are we?

Single elimination at this point. We out

That makes no freaking sense. Thanks for the info though. I've been working like a dog lately and life's just not allowing me to keep up on everything sports related like I usually do.

I'd complain.

It is the shitty SECt format: single elimination for a day; double elimination for a few days; finally single elimination for two days.
You could only come up with such a stupid format if you were either smoking pot or a graduate of one of Alabama's institutions of higher learning.
You see, two days ago LSU beat Florida, today Florida beat LSU, each team only has one loss, and have only lost to each other, but because we lost today rather than two days ago, we're on a flight home and Florida is playing for the championship tomorrow.

So ud rather play more games?
Posted on 5/28/16 at 11:29 pm to BallChamp00
If you want to go from single to double then fine, but never go from double to single- that's how you set up for a situation like LSU/Florida where both have the same tournament record, both only have one loss, and both have that one loss to each other. At least if you had two rounds of single before switching to double, then that couldn't happen.
Am I against more games? Not necessarily.

I learned something new today about the SEC double elimination set-up because going into the game I was thinking if Florida won then there would have to be another game played since that was LSU's first loss. I really didn't think you could be sent home after making it to the double elimination round and then losing just one thereafter but that's the way it is. I guess it has always been that way? I could swear I had seen this done differently but I guess it wasn't in SEC play.
