The topic of the day huh? Of course it is. And it should be. How many calls have they blown? How often has this happened? It is not new to this year.

It is something that has happened for a long time in this conference. We are the best conference. We have the best coaches and players. Why should we settle for Pop Warner officials?

I am sick and tired of great games being overshawdowed by the calls of our officials.

The UGA-LSU was great. Both teams played hard. But yet...what was the leading story of that game? Calls by the refs.

The UF-Ark game...great game...but a cloud over it because of the refs.

The MSU-UF...great game...overshadowed by the bad calls of the refs.

The Bama-LSU game...one hell of a game. Players for both teams played so hard and played lights out. My team won. I should be happy...and to a degree I am. But what was the leading story? Was it McElroy having a good game? Was it Ingram having a good game? Was it Peterson shutting down a good Julio Jones...after suffering bad cramps? Was it Charles Scott having a good game? NO! It was the officials AGAIN!

Those players played too good to have their play overshadowed like that. That was an INT. No doubt. Not saying LSU would have scored (and I do not think they would have). But let the players have the chance. Let the players decide the outcome of the game.

For far too long the SEC refs have blown calls (I remember a certain no-call in a Bama-LSU game that benefited LSU...and it still angers me.). We need better. We deserve better. None of our games should ever have a taint on them. But, unless there is a change with our officials this will always be the case.

Slive, DO SOMETHING!

Totally agree....one hell of a game. Hats off to both teams for leaving it all on the field!!! Haven't seen such a good game in a while. It really is a shame that the game was overshadowed by the refs!

Thank you guys. I think this is how most SEC fans feel. I am tired of teams having to defend wins. I am tired of great games being overshadowed. I am tired of our players (SEC players) taking a back seat to horrible officiating. It is time to make a change.

Great post and very well said. I agree, both teams performed too well to have their great play overshadowed by disgustingly bad officiating.

Congrats to both teams for a game well played and good luck to you guys for the remainder of the season.

What everyone does not like, is that the marjority of these bad calls are going in favor of Bama and Florida to get them into the championship game. Rather obvious now.

Thank you. Thing will not change unless we the fans speak out.

Good luck to LSU too. Believe it or not...most Bama fans I know have a lot of respect for your program. I know I do.

I think that is the perception because Bama and UF are undefeated. I mean, LSU and UGA both had bad calls in their games. If the refs were trying to give it Bama...they would have called roughing the kicker (15 yards) and not just running into the kicker (5 yards).

But bad officiating is something that has gone on in the SEC for years. It's horrible.

Thank you for not being another damned retarded gumproach! I was beginning to think that there was only one rational gump (BamaScoop) on this entire board.

We lost and that sucks. But the officiating is crap. Makes it tough to enjoy watching; has to be incredibly frustrating for the athletes.

I doubt anything meaningful will be done unless it becomes a major money issue, they likely will give raises to the same refs, like that will solve the issue.

As I said in a post yesterday, if you want to make the SEC takes drastic steps, take drastic action. If the fans of the non-Alabama schools boycott travel to Tuscaloosa and Montgomery, you will see them move heaven and earth to at least promote the appearance of fairness.

Nothing would speak louder that this is an important issue than a bunch of empty hotels and restaurants.

Crimson Crush.....ya' gotta be kidding. The running into the kicker argument is the best ya' got? Look at the game. There were at least 6 mistakes that were made in the game, and they ALL benefited Alabama. We will never know if LSU could have scored, but what we do know is that Jefferson got speared......no call. Jefferson got a horrible spot on the 3rd play of the game......It was an interception......On Jones TD there was a push in the back....No call.......On a Lee sack the defensive lineman almost pulled the LSU linemans' helmet off by the facemask...No call. One more. LSU's receiver is mauled and the flag is picked up as an uncatchable pass.....Same thing happened in the first half, and the penalty was enforced!

And your argument is on a penalty that they DID call on LSU that allowed the drive for the clinching points to be scored. Pretty weak!

Excellent Post Crush.

It's nice to see a true fan who doesn't see the world through Crimson and white glasses.

Excellent post.

I e-mailed them again this AM and asked why they just won't admit the blown call and let us all move past it. Denying there is an issue is just infuriating everyone. Its not like admitting the blown call changes the score. Bama still won the game and was the better team.
