SEC screwed up and they can fix it by scheduling LSU/Fla game right now for the Saturday after the season ends. They don't need to worry about Playoff committee's decision timing. 2 possible scenarios are:

1- It is very likely that neither LSU nor Fla will make it to the SECCG. In this case the two teams will play and complete their regular season schedule for whatever bowl implications the outcome may have.

2- If the winner of this game goes to the SECCG, the playoff committee will identify 3 teams plus the winner of the SECCG as the 4 playoff teams.
But SEC must do the right thing for the conference and schedule the game right now, it works.

How can we have confidence that they will fix anything, when the commissioner has yet to even show himself or answer any questions?

And speaking hypothetically, suppose Coach O is not retained, and it would be decided by then, who coaches a meaningless game? Would the players give a shite?
