FOUR game lead in the west... damn, that feels good.

In other news, South Carolina is playing GREAT baseball right now and we need to keep on playing well or they could cause some trouble in national seed pairings.

Ole Miss is the only team with a real chance of catching LSU..

Yes...they have done so by beating the 2 bottom teams in the SEC east

and the 3 bottom teams in the SEC west and easily easily could've lost 2 to bama just now

Like i said..looking solid but i dont know if I would go so far as GREAT...take a series from at least one stout team for that

I know they have played weaker SEC competition but it is still SEC competition nonetheless.

And saying they could have easily easily lost two to Bama is stupid. You build your resume on 1-run wins in this league. If you can't win those games, you aren't good enough. If you do win those games, it shows what kind of team you are. Look at our team last year and our team this year. Night and day.

they are getting better no doubt.. but yea, they went 1-5 against UK and UF..

the LSU series will be a real test for their young team

we've won 8 of our 13 SEC wins by one run. We could have "easily" lost those as well, but we didn't. Baseball is a sport predicated around winning one run games. Good teams find a way to win those. This isn't the gorilla ball era anymore

are you talking resume or how well they are playing

because their performance speaks to how well they are playing, their win speaks to their resume

and we lost 2 of 3 against Auburn, but that was a long time ago. If we played them again, I guarantee you there is a much different result.

College baseball is all about how you are playing lately and I still believe SC is playing great baseball. You better believe if we went rhrough a stretch of 12 wins in 14 SEC games, we all would believe we were playing great baseball.

I'm saying in this league a win is a win is a win. And they are playing great baseball because they are finding a way to win all these games.

I see what you are saying with the performance v. resume, but they are bulding their resume with their great play.

Either way and the reason I pointed this out, is that I really believe that if we win that series against them 2 of 3, then we get that Top 8 seed. I can not stress enough the importance of that series with the way they are playing.

great for the resume...and since it was against top 10 teams....speaks well to our performance in those games

no one is saying they arent good

1-5, at one point 3-7, won 10 straight SEC games. And yes its against the lower SEC competition but winning 10 straight is tough to do in conference for any conference.

2 against state, 1 against auburn, 1 against arkansas. all those teams have losing records in conference. so half of ours are against average teams

like i said...wins speak to your resume not how well you are playing specifically

South Carolina is a solid team...are they GREAT...i dunno
