They did it for me two seasons ago. I had a pair in the middle of a family that wanted to be together, and they just asked her to send an e-mail from the address on the account and copy my account e-mail requesting it. Then they called me(or I called them, don't remember) to confirm.
Ah gotcha. I'll have to call them then. Since I have two pair separated by another pair all on the same row.

They will only do it if the other party contacts them to give consent. They won't give you the personal info of any person you want to switch with

So I have to know the people sitting between us? Or will the Ticket Office call and ask on my behalf?

Just bought my student tickets.

No they will not call the other person on your behalf. My dad tried that in the past, they said the season ticket holder has to contact them with your request. So you have to ask them in the stadium

Yeah you basically have to know them. We did it in the offseason after the first year I had my tickets there. I found the e-mail I sent, and I sent it to TAF Director of Ticketing - Jamie Graham(jgraham@lsu.edu/578-0170).

I'm picking in 30 mins., it's slim slim slim, I highly doubt there's any pairs left in lower bowl after today. Heck, I'm just hoping there's a pair for me at 9:08

That's where I bought my set also . I am a little worried about the seats however considering there were so many, all grouped together like that. Do other buyers know something I don't? Anyway, gotta get in where you fit in. Gonna be a good season regardless and for the first time I won't have to worry about how I will come across tickets.

You might not be in your dream seats but you do have a pair in the lower bowl and can always try to move again in the following years.
Good luck to those who are selecting seats today

Good luck Blades
I'm so damn pissed that I didn't go on the waiting list now. Would have scooped up a single in the upper deck

Yeah zz, you hit the nail on the head. I got what I thought were the best seats available with the intention, like everyone else I'm sure, to get better seats every year they are available.

You might of got a pair. Maybe. They have 26 pairs left in lower

My guess is they are the least ideal in the south because they are by the visitors band/students.

So guys, let me know your thoughts. I'm currently at around a 7500 Philanthropic Ranking. I know this year a lot of seats opened up, and really expanded the window of opportunity.
Do you think now that all of the people ahead of me that got tickets accomplished what they wanted, I'll still have a solid shot next year? I'll guess and say I'll be around 7,000 Philanthropic ranking next year. I'm just trying to scoop up one ticket in the east upper deck.

I'm making some guesses here, but not completely wild guesses (historical basis):
It's looking like need to be around 4200 to get 2 together. Prolly same number to get to the lower bowl from uppers (upgrade, not first time). Again just guesses.
But when I was getting my first tickets and then later doing the upgrade thing I found TAF helpful. They can't tell you beforehand, but after season tickets selection is over (give it about 2 weeks) they can tell you how it ended up for the current year.
With some good estimates they can tell you:
- first time purchasers required XXX points to get single seats
- looks like people with XXX points moved from uppers to lower bowl
etc, etc.
That was somewhat useful to me. The expansion will throw the numbers off, but you do what you can.
ETA: I'd ALWAYS pay the $10 fee even if you don't think you'll get seats. Believe it or not, some of the long-term holders return individual tickets to TAF. You can always get lucky, but not if you're on that list. I always reserve two extra myself just in case someone wants me to get tickets for them on my account. I usually only purchase 2 for me, 2 for a friend but I reserve 6 every year.
