This dude is a darn good QB, very quick accurate release and fast decision making, strong arm that seems to be able to make every throw. Kinda reminds me of Trevor Knight. Granted it was only Portland St.'s D that he was facing, but you can tell he is talented. I am sure Aranda will have a plan to slow him down but our DBs better be ready to play some tight coverage.

Vs. Portland St. 16-27, 194 Yds, 1TD

Man this Saturday can't come sooner.

Mangum is a legit QB
He was co-MVP of the elite 11 with Famous Jameis Winston
and was 4* by Rivals

BYU's OL is pretty good too
I bet Aranda has dialed up some different looks to confuse him
While he's good, his WR are young. young like ours.
And their RB is a RB by committee
it will be a good challenge for our Defense

I'm not impressed by him. He's inconsistent and inaccurate. He also can't run. He'd be average or below average in the SEC

He's a good decision maker from what I've seen but he doesn't have a rocket arm IMO nor is he deadly accurate. He's good enough to beat you if you let him.

I'm most impressed with that TE and the second RB fanoua or how ever you spell it. Keep our best coverage safety or LB on the TE and stop their run and I think we get plenty of pressure on Mangum. I could see 6 to 8 sacks in this game. TFL in double digits. LSU was the TFL king at one time. Need to get back to that. Our CBs need to play sound football, be physical, get your damn head around, and don't let the refs throw flags on you to sustain thier drives.

They had a ton of holding penalties for a so called great OL. Idk how great they are just yet. We'll find out though. I've heard their interior was very good but the OTs were suspect, if that's the case then it's going to be a very long day for BYU. Mangum will NOT have long to get the ball off.

Their OC will have to call the game of his life and even then Aranda will adjust quickly. I could see them possibly starting fast and us starting slow but once we tighten the grip and loosen up on offense, it's game over.

LSU 35
BYU 10

Thanks for video. Granted, he has an arm and is mobile. On one of the few plays with even a hint of a pass rush, he is dropped and loses a fumble. I predict Aranda's D lives in that backfield for the better part of four quarters.

That mormon dude is gonna shite his pants when he sees the beasts that LSU has on the other side of the ball just waiting to rip his head off.

So it will be like an intrasquad scrimmage the last few years.

Not possible, they played and beat Miss State last year who have the same athletes LSU does. I mean we only beat state 23-20.

They also played and beat Texas in Mack Browns last year. They can hang with LSU right?

Ha ha ha ha... He he he he...

BYU fans hopes will die in da dome. Will be glorious.

He's decent. Pretty accurate on short passes with a quick release, but he throws up too many jump balls on deep passes & isn't overly accurate on them.

He's a very good QB. Their oline was supposed to be a strength but they lost their LT to injury the week of the opener and looked bad vs port st. Their D is legit and they've had a poor performance out of the way so expect a much better team than we saw Saturday. Good QB and defense is always a dangerous combo.

He does seem to throw into coverage quite a bit. That'll get him picked three times.

He’s good with short timing routes where his receivers get open off the line. But they don’t seem to have a legitimate deep threat and he doesn’t seem overly accurate on deep balls.

Could be a close comparison, I would hope Etling is a bit ahead of him.

Under throws receivers, at least everyone he threw against PS. On 50/50 balls he will lose every time.. looked unsettled in the pocket, easy to look elite when no one is trying to kill you. The young defensive talent will be looking to make a point. It will not be a good night for him..
