I know its tough enough playing a sec schedule, but i would like to see lsu or other sec teams schedule better pac-10 and big 10 teams rather than always jsut going up against garbage acc teams. I cant stand how early in the year all the west coast teams talk and talk about how over hyped the sec. When it comes down to it the sec always finishes in the top 3 in conference bowl records.

Traveling to the pac 10 has some pitfalls. Besides the fact that half the sec would have to cross 3 time zones to play there, the pac 10 doesnt allow you to bring your own officials. If you think sec officials are inept, watch a non conference pac 10 game. They are incredibly biased.

You also have the massive expense of traveling that far to what is usually a smaller or 3/4 filled stadium. It just doesnt make a lot of sense to play out there.

I'd prefer us to never play west of Texas.

you realize that WVU was a top 10 program when this game was scheduled right? Don't fault the schedulers for the aftermath ofRichRod leaving town.

i do realize this. I also realize the Big East is way down this year. Im not faulting lsu are anything, they scheduled two tough ooc games. I just would like to see a sec team take a risk of going play a pac 10 or even a boise st to shut them up earlier in the year.

what is the point of that? if you win the game you were 'supposed' to. if you lose the game its a sign of how the sec is so over rated.

it would have to be on a neutral field, no way you could make any money on a home/home with them.

where is the benefit?

Big 10 teams are not coming down south to play in this heat. Likewise, SEC teams are not going up there without a return game. I bet Penn St does not come back to Tuscaloosa anytime soon.
Hard to play later in year with both conferences in full swing.

LSU does play Oregon next year and they will probably be top 5. When LSU scheduled Arizona they were a top 10 team that fell on hard times. LSU has played decent Oregon St, Ariz St and Washington is usually a decent team that hit some hard times as well. It's hard to project out four or five years when the schedule is made.

Well, we play Oregon in the first game next year in Dallas.

That's a seriously tough opponent and we could definitely lose to them. I say that because they don't pass much so their offense is up and running in game 1 basically. We run and pass and you've seen that our passing game takes a little while to get going (for many years). Hopefully our D will be similar next year, but we will be losing some studs (lots of great young talent playing for us though right now).

I think it is getting to the point now where a win against boise st. does alot as far as rankings and hype go, at least in my opinion maybe im the only one. I feel they have proved themselves enough times on a national stage. I would love to watch them up against a lsu, arkansas, auburn, bama, florida, south carolina this year.

Like LSU vs Washington in 2009 and 2012 or LSU vs Oregon in 2011? LSU never plays PAC10 teams.
