Steve S. is a great coach. It's a shame his team has battled so many injuries this early in the year.

This reminds me a lot of when we beat the Ducks in Dallas and Chip Kelly said after he playing us, he realized the huge difference in the type of athletes you need. Especially in the trenches

Because of him, I don't hate the Dawgs the way I should and normally do. He's class and cool.

They are number 3 for a reason, they are that good.”

I wonder what he's seeing there. I don't like hearing that at all. Unless he's just saying he knows that they don't have much of a pass rush.

He's talking about max protection. When they threw, most of the time they max protected Mett.

I think he is just saying that the Oline played the best game of the year. Also he might be a nice way of not throwing your front 7 under the bus.

Protect him as far as limiting him om his throws, mot the o-line. Thats what i think anyways

It does look like the presser was done from his moms basement. At least miles presser is somewhat more professional looking.

With the context of what he is saying I dont think he is talking about the O line at all. I think he is talking about "protecting" him with play calling. In other words, he is a big strong armed guy, but that didn't necessarily show itself in this game as there werent many deep passes, but as the season moves along you will start to see some deep balls and more difficult throws from him.

Either saying they don't have much of a pass rush, or saying that he saw openings in our line that his guys didn't find.

Seems like either way his team just isn't good enough to get at the QB, but he must think we have a weakness there.

I take it as a compliment to Mett meaning he could have opened it up. Also could mean we will have to have more options against better teams and wont be able to max protect as much. I dont read it as a slight at all.

I agree with this.

He clearly is trying to compliment Mett and didn't mean anything negative about our O line. He is simply saying the play calling and the passes that were thrown were very conservative and safe. As the season progresses and Mett gets more experienced, he will begin to throw more difficult balls and start going vertical.

I think people are taking this quote as our O line isnt good and that we are in trouble, but that isn't at all what he is saying with this.
