I played in the same district as Schimpf in high school. When he was a JR he hit a ball out of St. Pauls that hit the cafeteria in right. I swear it went 500+. Dude has incredible hand speed.

what is with the dumbassery in this thread?? Schimpf hit 2nd pretty much all season!!! He was All-SEC and arguably our best all around hitter....you don't hit 9th in any lineup with those credentials. Where the frick do you guys come from??Posted on 5/21/13 at 8:43 pm to biglil3
He was not good he was great. He might have been 9 hole at times in 07-08 but hell no in 09

started 168 games at LSU.... batted 9th in only 19 of them (all in 2008)
