So Ryan McGee on ESPN's Championship Drive today literally states on the show when the talk turns to a new coach for LSU says "Why would you go there!" and "Are you selling your soul to go there"

With that one comment you have proved whatever you are getting paid you owe ESPN a refund!!! Now I could sit here a rant on about you trying to do your best Paul Finebaum. Or I could say with that comment it is difficult to tell whether you are speaking from your mouth or your arse with that shite that just came out. But instead I will take the high road and try and tell you why other than Saban, Meyers and Harbaugh everyone else is in play for this job it is that great.

I will start by saying I am an alumnus of LSU and I am bias and sometimes look through purple and gold sun glasses. But that being said this is not one of those times.

Ms. McGee this is why if you are a college coach and you truly want to be relevant and have a great opportunity to play for National Championships, right now this is the best job available for that to happen knowing that Bama, Ohio St and Michigan jobs are not open for a minimum of 3 years unless something drastic happens at those Universities.

1. LSU has consistently signed top 10 recruiting classes over the past 15years and recruiting well is the life blood of the college game. Bama and Ohio St. are proof of that.

2. The state of Louisiana has the most players in the NFL per capita than any other state in the Nation, so you have a solid recruiting base in state.

3. LSU has more players on current NFL rosters then any other college including Bama. So recruiting NFL caliber talent to come to LSU is obviously not an issue.

4. In state recruiting we are the ONLY game in the state. Most states you have a little brother in state that you have to recruit against just to name a few; Ole Piss/Moo State, Auburn/Gumps, Texas/A&M, UF/FSU/UM, USC/Clemson, Georgia/Georgia Tech etc..... We don't have a lil brother in this state we have some extremely distant cousins that can't get anyone we want to go to LSU, NO ONE. If they are in state and we want them no other instate school stands a chance.

5. We have a .785 winning percentage at home and even higher when it is a night game.

6. One of three schools to win multiple Natty's since 2000.

7. Have proved that we are willing to pay all of our coaches top dollar to coach at LSU.

8. One of the most profitable and higher grossing Athletic Departments in the country.

9. Year in Year out LSU is ranked as one of the top football programs in the country, one of the best stadiums in the country and best fan bases in the country.

10. A very large, loyal and loud fan base in the country that packs a stadium holding over 100,000 rabid fans that pour their hearts out on Saturday nights in Death Valley.

11. With a great color combination one of the iconic uniforms in the country.

12. Even your side by side commentator said he felt LSU was a top 5 job in the country, TOP 5!!! With schools like Bama, UT, Ohio St, Michigan, TAMU, UGA, UF, FSU, Miami, USC, UCLA, ND, Stanford, Oregon, Clemson, Auburn and Tenn just to name a few. That is some serious company we are in I will take TOP 5 all day long in that list. Even you said LSU was a Top 10 job in college football, so obviously stating "why would you go there" makes absolutely ZERO since coming out your arse!!!

13. And this is a big one. Les Miles will be inducted to the college football hall of fame for coming and coaching our players here at LSU. He has won 1 National Championship, 2 SEC championships and 3 SEC west titles. And LSU made Les Miles and his family a very rich family for Les coaching at LSU. So when he looks at his resume of accomplishments I can guarantee you that this was the best decision in his professional career coming to LSU.

I am sure I have forgotten a whole lot of other reasons to drop everything you are doing if you are a college football HC and beg your agent to contact the LSU AD and beg him for this job!!!

So there you go you hack writer Ms. McGee I just did your job for you send me $1,000.00 and we will call it even. But next time you put mouth in gear try putting brain in gear prior to speaking. And if you did that before you made these comments - "Why would you go there!" and "Are you selling your soul to go there"- then you honestly are not a very bright man and ESPN should have a clawback clause in your contract because with that crap you are spewing they are definitely overpaying you.

What do you think board, what are your thoughts about Ryan McGee and his well thought out comments regarding our Head Coaching job!!!

And this is for you Ms. McGee

Yea, and then everyone else on the set looked at him like he was crazy.

ETA: Also, later McGee said Herman was a good candidate to come here.

Never hear of Ryan McGee.

Don't care, his opinion is irrelevant.

Didn't read much but McGee is a douchebag and always hated on Lsu and miles so it's obvious to me he's just spewing shite for attention. He's by far the worst analyst on championship drive. McElroy on sec now really put it in perspective. Gave tribute to miles coached teams when he played against him but hit the nail
On the head on why he was fired.

Opinions and a-holes. There's going to be a lot of this over the next couple of months. None of it will matter until late Nov. Same goes with recruiting news.

Yep. He fricking nailed it. And most of the media understands the situation. Why we focus on the most negative stuff on this board, I will never know. People talked a lot of shite after Richt was fired also. Just ignore it.

I actually watched it and didnt have a problem with what he said. It's gonna be said a lot and by all kinds of talking heads. At least most of them understand it was time or necessary.

I didn't read your post, but on college football live Marcus and the other guy were on point with everything they said.

Except, two things about Miles future.

1. In order to get his buyout, doesn't he have to be working or trying to work?

2. I don't see any power 5 program hiring him.
