I'm not reading this whole thread but I did read the 8th page. Some of you have never coached a day in your life. I have coached and umpired baseball at different levels so take my opinion for what it is but I definitely agree with holding Poche and Lange until Tuesday and Wednesday. Also, there's zero doubt in my mind that Dunn indicated that Russ was probably looking solid the last few times in practice. He performed well once already at the CWS against and solid hitting team.

As far as what to expect tommorow, this is how I'd use the staff. Break the game down into thirds and fourths. Hopefully Russ goes 3 innings or at least once through the order. Then, I'd go Bain for 2-3 innings. Peterson and Bush situational for an inning. Followed by Newman 2-3.

Why do I suck for pointing out the truth? Even Russ has said that he is done with baseball after this year.

I think we see something very similar to this. I would expect Reynolds, Peterson, and Newman for sure. Bush at some point. The staff was between Peterson and Reynolds to start this game. Reynolds was the more mature pitcher and I think that's why he got the nod. Both will pitch. Bain is a good call too.

I would normally criticize manieri for this decision. He has proven to me that he knows alot more about this lsu team than I do and I am rolling with his decision. Gmft.

This Bam is pulling for the SEC W. Go LSU Tigers. I have a nephew who was on the same HS team with Gilbert who pitched a great game last Sat.

Is there anyone else they could have gone with?

I think he will be fine. Just curious though.

According to Dandy Don, Peterson is having some arm tenderness and is "not himself." Doubt he pitches tonight.

fully, Reynolds will step up with the game of his life (at LSU)! But it may come down to the bats... can we outhit them??? Top 4 in the order needs to step it up and Deichman needs to power it out of the park! Geaux Tigers!!!!

Great move by our coach. He demonstrates that if you are a dedicated player who stuck with the team then you can get a shot at doing something great for this university. This is a great move to start the Senior. Also, UF will find it tougher to get hits as the series progresses so our hitters get a chance to settle into the battle. I like our chances. Pulling for Russell!!! GO TIGERS!!!

What about Kiel and Norman? These guys were actually drafted, albeit late rounds.
