Per PM, Todd Peterson has a "tender arm" and "isn't himself right now."

AKA, we're down to our 6th starter in game 1 of the CWS finals.

Yeesh

Our bats better show up

Didn't Reynold's get pulled shortly after that incident?

Interesting

Bain was my first choice but makes sense if Peterson isn't himself.

As I said, CPM knows who is ready

His record this year is 1-1 which is more important than overall record.

I think we will come out super loose and free swinging. They are going into this game with the mindset that they are just taking a shot at this one. Florida's bats aren't great, we may run into one or two pitchers that just do good for a few innings and keep us in this one.

If we win, then we are sky high, knowing that we likely get a win with Poche or Lange coming up.

We lose, and frick it...they pretty much gave them this one anyway. Come out game 2 and show who the better team is (which right now I believe is LSU). They aren't going to want to see us in a game 3.

Now it's interesting. FLA doesn't have much tape of RR to study. We need him to go 4 innings, then Peterson, Bush, and Newman are in line. LSU will win a close one.

Reynolds going 5 IP would be more surprising than Gilbert going 7 1/3 yesterday

Yea I'm just saying we can throw his arm off if he's doing well.

I am sure Lester is correct here. He'll pitch him multiple innings if he's doing well.

I mean, this will be his last appearance in competitive baseball ever. We can throw him for 200 pitches if it is still effective.

In any case why even announce him today

I usually like announcing it to show confidence but let it be a surprise to Florida

Doubt they'd even had looked much at him

Heh, CPM is pretty straight forward so he will start.

Just throw it over the plate. Their lineup isn't going to wear lsu out without a bunch of free bases. If Singer is on, it might not matter much.
