Understands that it is time to move, can't beat Alabama, steady decline, so forth.

BUT

If you are willing to write checks for $20M to get rid of a NC winning .780 winning percentage coach and his staff, then you better have THE GUY locked up and ready to go. Otherwise you cannot make this move. You cannot walk into this without a clear plan and objective. No seeing whats out there or who you might get. You need to know who you can get and have him wrapped up.

Everyone will be looking at you Joe Alleva. Whether you are actually the guy or not. Microscope is on you now.

Don't frick this up.

I swear, by the end of the week, this number will be up to $50 million.

It's been stated several times that to buy out the whole staff will cost in excess of $20 Million.

Pretty much exactly what Gary Danielson said on the herd just now.

He also said the coaches that renegotiate their deals 5 minutes after they have a good year should not complain when they get heat like what's happening to Les.

The boosters will force Alleva to fire Miles, and then blame him when he doesn't make a good hire they want.

It's not an inflated number. Its $15MM for Les and another $5MM for the staff. Not to mention any possible buy LSU may have to pay for a new coach.

I keep seeing this argument, how is this valid at all?

When was the last time Les Miles even came close to winning a national title? The last time we had a season above a .78 winning percentage?

This isn't the same coach as that was.

Motherfricking this.

I think Les's 15 million climbs to 20 million when you include buying out all the coaches.

Who exactly? Anyone coming in that would want to get rid of Frank, Bebe, or Raymond would be an idiot.

Cam is gone this year regardless. So you're telling my Peveto has a buyout for $5mil?

THIS!!! The only reason a small part of me wants to keep Miles is because I don't have much faith in the AD having a plan in place. This isn't a firing where we need a long, drawn out, coaching search that ends with a hire that we aren't 99% sure will right the ship.

Part of me also feels that this is a move that almost MUST be made at this point because our assistant coaches may begin jumping off the sinking ship and securing other jobs to protect their future.

It is roughly $17,000,000. Down to $14,000,000 on 1.1.16.
