Yeah, a few random internet posters are indicative of the whole fan base. C'mon..
Seriously, it's not just a few and it's not the majority either...but there is a noticeable portion.

STFU ell... Did you even read the story? The 'cop' was in plain clothes... How was he supposed to know?
I refuse to pass judgment on this situation until ALL the facts are out so I don't sound like a jackass like you do

Any thread with Lee, a Jefferson and now apparently Shepard will draw a disproportionate amount of haters.

So you're saying, while giving chase, the cop never presented himself as an officer? I mean, possible. But EXTREMELY unlikely. As unlikely as saying that you aren't an ignorant redneck.

I bet Jordan gave Ricky the Miles nudes and Ricky is startIng by the third game.

As soon as an undercover cop makes a stop/arrest they must identify themselves and they almost always pull their badge out from around their neck.
Read the OT and see if I'm a cop defender at all... Kid fricked up. Will he pay the price?
Because officers always observe every aspect of the law and there are NEVER cases thrown out because of no miranda rights no warrant etc. Judging by how little he got charged with regards to how the incident was described from the officers side there is plenty of room for doubt that the timeline of events went exactly as follows: stalking an 18 year old, cornering said 18 year old, announcing presence as an officer, getting punched by friends. RJ probably punched him as soon as he cornered the kid then he got indignant as a cop.

I had my doubts this kid would ever be a big contributor for LSU anyway. Maybe a special teams hero with a couple plays mixed in here and there but not much else.

I'll say it again, I WAS NOT THERE, HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW?
And don't you think that if I was an 'ignorant redneck', that I would not give RJ the benefit of the doubt here?

NOPD doing someone dirty? It's virtually unheard of; not like the mayor has to bring in the Feds to police the NOla police because they are so corrupt or anything.

yeah you're right. probably what happened. The 18 year old high schooler probably played it cool while the undercover detective popped off at him.

NOPD is not Jefferson Parish, dipshit.

This isn't nopd. Jefferson parish.

So Hugo, do you think the fact that he's not even on campus will help or hurt the status of his scholarship?

I agree he probably fricked up and used poor judgement... but I don't think his LSU status should be altered in this case just because he's not a blue chip prospect
He'll be on his second strike if he did indeed mess with a cop. Tough hole to dig before you even start.

Apparently they were better at keeping their cool as they walked away and then the cop chased them. Is it that unbelievable that RJ punched him as soon as they got cornered but before the guy pulled out his badge? I mean the whole thing started as the cop getting indignant about being cussed by teenagers and occured in the middle of a parade area I doubt he was all
