We shouldn't have. I was in an Ole Miss section, and I told their fans us rushing the field was embarrassing.

We shouldn't have.

ETA:

You should only storm the field if

A) Your program has no history and you've defeated a vastly superior team

B) You've won a championship

C) You've won a spot in a championship game

He's not the only one. I've heard a lot of people saying "act like you've been there". I see it as a great night and why not enjoy it. Players loved it, coaches loved it, etc.

Yep. It was a badly-needed win. Have fun with it.

What a jackass. Don't give this loser any attention. Jacques Doucet's article about storming the field was amazing and by an actual journalist. People enjoy it, so do it. This kid can get fricked.

Rushing the field is a selfish act, because it distracts from what was a great performance by a team that looks like it’s growing into its skin.

What a bunch of sad sacks in this thread.

You sound like "get off my lawn" types.

When I first saw/heard of it I was a little disappointed because it is LSU you have to know you will beat Ole Miss.

But then I remembered it is a "down" year for the team and Ole Miss was supposed to be better.

If I had been there I would have been on the field I know that much.

I don't mind it for this reason, but we are better than that as a program.

You usually rush the field when you do something you have never or seldom done. Beating any team in Tiger Stadium the last 15 years is nothing new.

Stop with this uppity BS. It was a win against a top 5 team at home. Celebrate. I haven't heard one LSU player or coach complain about it.

I really dont care either way, but I would have guessed the Reveille would have this opinion.

Truth. I'm pretty sure there have been much more embarrassing incidents committed by LSU fans in the past in general. This wasn't necessarily one of them.

Were you crying with them as well? Our students and players celebrated together. It was a special moment for both. Get over yourself.
