So I grew up in BR in the '70's and '80's watching the Dalton-James gang, went to LSU for undergrad and grad school and haven't been back to BR since Katrina.

Thinking of taking my better half to her first college game this weekend. What has changed at LSU since Katrina? Hint: I don't think that Walk On's existed back then (I've certainly never been there).

Should I just take her around the RV lot and get her some good tailgate food or take her to Chimes or Walk On's (or somewhere else)?

Night game. You have time to do both. Hit the restaurants first though.

I'm in LSU Class of '84. I don't remember the LSU Parade Ground being used for tailgating like it is now. "Back in the day", the Parade Ground was empty when we'd walk by on our way to the game.

I would do Louie's for breakfast (old Wendy's on State Street), visit the Chimes for a few cold ones, walk around Parade Grounds (plenty young uns with loud music, beer pong, and, scenery), swing by the new Barnes & Noble (by Union) for new LSU gear, catch the players and band going down the hill, and then enter stadium for pre-game.
