Ok assuming that LSU wins next week and goes to the Sugar, which team matched against us gets us the most respect with a win (not that I expect McShay or Smith to change their minds). Perhaps TCU or Ohio?

I think LSU may get a better matchup in a non BCS game than in a BCS game. Afraid LSU would be paired with TCU or Boise in the Sugar.

Well I'd rather play one of those two schools than Pitt or Va Tech.

I would love to see LSU/Boise or TCU. I'm not necessarily extremely confident that we would win. But it would mark the first time that a big-name school took on one of those teams in a big-time game and actually have total respect for them.
I'm still convinced that Oklahoma and Bama lost to Boise and Utah because it was a letdown game for them i.e. "We're going to the Sugar Bowl to play...Utah?" Half the players probably didn't even know where Utah was.

Probably. I think a game vs a B12 or B10 team would generate more interest than any of the above though.

I would personally love to play Boise or TCU and beat the living crap out of them but reality is that won't happen because if we play either of those teams we could very well get out coached big time and getting embarrassed by either of those teams would not be good at all. It's a catch 22, it's like hey we can play them & kick their butt or we could play them and get beat & never live it down.

Miles I still feel is one of the best bowl coaches you can find. Except for last year his teams have always raised the bar in postseason. If there's a catch 22 its us playing a Boise. If we whip their butts everyone will say it was expected, if we lose we will be called over rated.

At this point all you can ask of the players is to win out. I don't know why LSU fans are obsessing over this other stuff so much. I will be proud of this team for battling so much this year.

Amen to that

Every game, every win is a struggle for the Tigers this season. Their 10-1 record against an imposing schedule is rather remarkable considering their loudly assailed shortcomings (bad HC, bad OC, bad QBs, etc.) The posed question -- what bowl-team conquest would bring the most respect -- strikes me as a conceit that's out of place in this week of Thanksgiving, but I'll answer it anyway: Boise State.
