I just returned from a taking my family to the beautiful island of Oahu. And as usual, anywhere I go, I sport LSU purple and gold.

Either it's an incredibly small world or the LSU brand stretches a long way...

I ran into LSU fans twice in my hotel, once on Waikiki Beach, once while eating lunch at a North Shore food truck, but the best was running into LSU fans from Kenner at the USS Arizona Memorial.

Another awesome thing about my trip was not seeing a single Bama fan the whole week; however, I did get to "Tigerbait" an A&M fan.

Man that flight from Houston was a bitch... 8 and a half hours. I guess I should have gotten on here before I left to see if there was someone I could meet up with and do a favor like that.

I'm retired Army, so we stayed at the Hale Koa. Even with the good deal they offer, my wife says it will be a while before we come over again.

I'm thinking next time we'll fly into Vegas, stay one night, then fly to Oahu. Same on the way back. Hopefully, she'll be more willing that way.
