Talk about going to be hot in the stadium now on those 2:30 games from Sept - Oct.

Probably the last major expansion project we will ever see of tiger stadium.

Couldn't they do the same thing to the NEZ as well?

I don't understand the glass. I'm not complaining, because I like it... But what is the purpose of the glass & why just on the east side?

What's the glass structure on the right side of the project supposed to be?

It looks as though the exterior side of the south endzone facade doesn't wrap all the way around the stadium (stopping short before it reaches the ramps on the east side). I know the two ramps are not symmetrical. The glass structure appears to be an expansion or extension to the ramp from the east side, perhaps with stairs, elevators, etc...

That being said, IMHO, the hand drawn renderings didn't look so bad, but now that I see this computer model of it, the exterior just looks plain terrible. The west side renovation was bad enough (as a departure from the original design of the stadium). However, this south endzone facade just looks like someone gave up. It doesn't go with anything, new or old.

They aren't going to mess with the oak trees there and it isn't enough room.

The thing I am most excited about is that if you look at the slice of the side of the expansion, Levels 2 and 3 are just labeled "Future". I'd place a bet now that is where the much anticipate but never executed in the old structure because of asbestos Gameday Condo/Hotel area is going to be. That also may help explain the glass structure on the east side. It may be an atrium to access both the East Upper and SEZ and the potential condo area.

umm....yeah.

The arched windows they placed in the upper levels that are actually offset from the lower wall is just one example of the true BS that is put forth in this design. (I'll give you a hint, arches are supposed to actually have a purpose)

Receding back into lurkers chair.

It is also where the kitchen and club level are so I don't see what the big deal is that they are closed in. It is a modernized look of the classic style of the NEZ.

ETA: The only concern I have is what will be in the circles above the arches. If they are windows that is fine. However, if they put a bunch of toonces logos up there instead of something like this I will lose it.

The inside looks absolutely incredible.

The outside looks fricking stupid. As an earlier poster said... looks like somebody had 3 different stadiums and legoed them together.
