I laugh at the thought of getting 100k Tiger fans to cheer an opposing team running onto the field.

We didn't. But the contrived animosity toward opposing teams and fans was not on par with your typical 'big' game.

First of all, this is in no way comparable to Katrina.
And if anybody can make jokes at them about their situation, it's us, b/c we've been there.

I agree granny punching and porta-potty tumping should be held to a minimum Saturday. But football is a distraction and SC isn't a special needs team, we should treat them as any other opponent in TS.

As a sign of goodwill, Miles will have Harris take a knee for the first three plays.

Moment of silence, PA announcement to text to donate, and a designated TV timeout or Quarter Break to show support for the entire region would be good.

It's just one of them gamedays where the fans should be more cordial to each other and let the players compete on the field.

I remember leaving the Georgia dome after the 2005 SEC Championship Game being "Katrina Baited" by UGA fans. Ultra trashy bunch.

I almost jumped across my seat at a uga and bama fan that wouldnt shut the frick up the entire game. Good thing other uga fans told them they were being complete jack asses and would have our back.

Same thing happened on Tower Drive in 07 when some drunk guy in an LSU shirt(I don't call these types fans) antagonized some Hokies walking down the street.
Some frat boys descended on the scene made that dumb arse GTFO. But that was the only bad thing I saw that day fortunately.
Keiland's calves were beautiful later that night.

I think it would be a really classy move on the part of LSU to be nice to them/cheer them when they take the field

Was at our Katrina game in AZ, it was awesome to see our reception.

You think people are really planning on dogging the other team and making fun of the tragedy?

Bama fans sure did in 2005. Looter State University, 3rd world country, wish you would have drowned on bourbon street, etc.

I'd like to think we are a cut above that trashy group of sister humpers

They are no where close to where we were.

How awesome would it be if they filled one of the parking lots with FEMA trailers and told USC players that's where they had to sleep?

Please remember Katrina as we host the Gamecocks this weekend. We didn't think the jokes were very funny. I'm sure they don't think it's funny either.

I hope everyone is friendly to their fans, gives them plenty to eat and drink, treats them with respect, etc. That said, there's a pretty big difference between the devastation that LA endured as a result of Katrina and what South Carolina is facing right now.

I agree with this.
We can still rock Death Valley without being rude and inconsiderate.

Fortunately it's tied to alocohol consumption and that will be limited at an 11 kickoff.

While that's true, you need to look for similarities instead of differences. It's more compassionate that way.
