Cal State Fullerton's RPI is 24 and they're hosting a regional. To put that in perspective that's what LSU's RPI was in 2011 when they were left out of the ncaa tournament.

The committee must have been desperate for West coast hosts so they could spread the tournament out some. Two West coast hosts isn't enough for their liking.

UCSB will be "hosting" in Lake Elsinore, which is about 3 hours away. Committee pulled that one out of their arse. Charleston, Radford or Oregon State would have made significantly more sense as a host.

Says it's in Lake Elsinore, CA. Looked up that place, and they have a Single A ballpark there.

I guess cofc needed to win their conf tourney along with the reg season. Radford also put in but I knew they weren't going to get it

Any chance that Fullerton is hosting as a 2 seed? Anyone left out of a host spot that could be a 1 there?

The pictures of these host stadiums really makes Alex Box look so ridiculously superior.

No, Fullerton will be a 1. UCSB was the only chance of being a 1 seed away from home.

Arizona state, cal, uscw, Oregon state all deserved it over csf and it isn't close.

to be fair... UCSB is hosting at another park than the 1s I put pics of

but a 3 hour drive to where you're "hosting"? might as well just play a fricking road game

@RivalsChase: UCSB didn't break 900 attendance at a home game this year, lots under 500, and is hosting 3 hours from campus. It'll look like a scrimmage

Just how bad was west coast baseball this season? There are usually a few powerhouses each season out there.

Not terrible. Cal and uscw were good this year. Oregon state and AZ state were pretty good as well
