Did that hit take place in Germany?

Bout time a referee does something in LSU's favor!!! That would have never happened in Jordan Hare unless it was a ref hitting Lee or hatch Pretty funny since it happened to a cocky redshirt freshmeat starting his first game. An officiating friend of mine from the sunbelt conference said that they were talking about it on the referee blog board and that ref was a former kentucky linebacker. The response to it was that it couldn't have been because kentucky linebackers don't hit with that good of form!!!

the refs owed us that hit after all the shitty calls against us the past few years.

I have seen this a lot at this point but I still can't believe it. something has to be said about this. Is it just me or does the NCAA need to make an official comment on this hit. I think this needs an explaination.

I replayed it 5 times and laughed out loud 5 times. I didnt see that angle on TV. It almost looks like the ref went after him...Ref this beer is for you dude.

As published in the Sports News, the other officiating members of the crew immediately addressed the incident. They explained to the confused ref that:
1. This is not the Auburn Tigers.
2. You are suppose to make a bad call, not make a play.

"He was trying to get out of the way," Spurrier said of Hackett, according to The State in Columbia, S.C. "Stephen sort of cut back right into him. Sometimes that will happen."
When contacted by ESPN's Joe Schad, the Southeastern Conference office said after reviewing the play, it believes the umpire was in appropriate position. A spokesman said the umpire raised his arm to defend himself after a change of direction by the runner.

That's funny. The zebra obviously went offensive there. the only thing he was protecting was Garcias forward progress.
Not sure how the league or anyone, could interpret it differently. LOL.....

Lateral down the line till you see your target, square up, head forward, close the distance, thrust forward and BAM...

Yep. Cause a redshirt freshman in his first start could coordinate that.
