I posted this before, I think Miles screwed himself trying to find the next great athletic QB. We'd have won titles if Perilloux had lasted, if Harris had the ability to read the field, etc.

This offense doesn't need that, we've got great skill players, always have. You get a 3 star QB with good football IQ but not the best tools, you run the ball and go play-action, and you can be a perennial top 10 team.

I think Miles, for all the talk of being stubborn and conservative, was searching for Desean Watson (Clemson QB). It would have been nice to land him, but we don't need someone that good, we just need a guy who can hit the open man vs 8 man fronts.

Hopefully, the next recruiting guru can keep most of Miles' targets, but adjust the focus on the QBs.

only to make him a pro-style drop back quarterback and totally negate his dual threat ability.

Every passing week and every comment from players and coaches have verified that Miles was a fricking idiot when it comes to offense. It's really not a great deal more complicated than that.

I said it and was mocked, but Miles would rather lose playing his way, than change what he was doing and win.

LM belongs in the Big 10...but he had better do a much better job of recruiting OLmen or else he will fail big time...

recruiting QB's is like recruiting any other position. You just sign the best ones you can get. Doesn't matter pro style , dual style, whatever. Wish people would get off their pro style, dual style hang ups.
