After just one season i have never been so impressed with a coordinator like him. Do you have confidence in alleva being able to keep him. He is the one guy we cannot afford to let go.

He's eventually going to the NFL...just enjoy him while he's here.

I'll take a shot in the dark and say he gone after the 2018 season but no one knows. He could be gone after this one, or be here 5 years.

Just enjoy the show for now!

He will be here awhile, he is the next HC. O never was a long term solution.

He's VERY happy here. He's not going anywhere else anytime soon. Like any great coordinator, eventually he will be offered a promotion that he views as worth the move in all likelihood. In the meantime, he's given absolutely no indication that he's looking to go anywhere. He's got a lot of freedom and a great relationship with the coaches here.

When the day comes, Orgeron will do as he did for the offense....go out and hire someone creative, aggressive, and well regarded.

Until he's ready to go to the NFL. We pay him what he wants until he's ready to make the move. Once he's decided, he will just go.

Hopefully, he LOVES college and can't stand the thought of teaching grown brats.

Probably another two years. I hope he's still with us when we go to Texas in 2019.

Make him not have to recruit? That has to be the biggest advantage of going to the NFL as a DC.

Still don't think he takes a HC job.

ETA otherwise lucky to get two more seasons with him.

How many times does it have to be said here that he doesn't want to be a head coach? His aspirations are to go to the NFL as a DC.

it all depends on what Aranda wants. Some guys just want to be great coordinators and not have to run an entire program, with the many different hats a HC must wear. So I wouldn't jump the gun and pencil him in as a HC just yet.

If he hates recruiting and academic issues, maybe he'd jump to the NFL, but then you're dealing with grown multimillionaires, and that's a different situation entirely.

So we don't really know - it all depends on what he wants in life. Let's just make sure we offer as much money as necessary to keep him, if others come calling.

Since he said that family was the main reason he decided to stay, they are happy & his kids are settling in to the La. culture, it may come down to how old his kids are/how long till they graduate?

Aranda is only 41 and makes 3x his salary at Wisconsin already. I don't think it's crazy to suggest he'll be at LSU 3-4 more seasons. We pretty much pay him NFL money already.

Might be his last year if we are good.
