("Per capita")
Alabama
1. Football
2. Hoops
3. Baseball
Arkansas
1. Football
2. Hoops
3. Baseball
Auburn:
1. Football
2. Baseball
3. Hoops (nearly a tie now that Bruce P is there)
Mizzou
1. Hoops
2. Football
3. Baseball
Ole Miss
1. Football
2. Baseball
3. Hoops
Miss State
1. Football
2. Baseball
3. Hoops
LSU
1. Football
2. Baseball
3. Hoops
Texas A&M
1. Football
2a. Baseball
2b. Hoops
Florida
1. Football
2. Hoops
3. Baseball
South Carolina
1a. Baseball
1b. Football
3. Hoops
Kentucky
1. Hoops
2. Football
3. Baseball
Vanderbilt
1. Hoops
2. Baseball (recent climb and will soon be 1)
3. Football
Georgia
1. Football
2. Hoops
3. Baseball
Tennessee
1. Football
2. Hoops
3. Baseball
Agree or disagree?
With 3 being the highest score, here are the averages:
Football -- 2.7
Hoops -- 1.9
Baseball -- 1.6
No surprise about football being king in all but 3 universities, but if I had time, I would like to do this for schools in the other Power 5 conferences and see the disparities and rankings. I think the SEC is unique.
This said, do you agree -- per capita of the fan to the seat -- that baseball is bigger than basketball at LSU? Basketball makes a LOT more money and creates more revenue than baseball. BUT, do you think in most other ways that baseball is more important?

This list is silly. The order is Football, Basketball and then Baseball. Schools that say baseball is more important are lying to you....they are better at it, but no LSU fan would say that a basketball title would be less exciting than a baseball.

When you ask about the big three to a bama fan, they think you mean, football, softball, and gymnastics.

1a. Football
1b. Baseball
2. Basketball
1b. Baseball
2. Basketball

Are you from the south or not? I also said it's not money. It's what the fans love in order. And I know plenty of LSU fans who do not watch basketball no matter how good the product is. Most of the LSU fans/friends I know are football and baseball.

I would say with Arkansas, hoops should be ranked first.
At LSU, Baseball and Football are 1a and 1b.

You're wrong. LSU basketball is only more profitable than baseball because of the TV deals it has with the conference. LSU baseball is one of (less than 5 I believe) very few schools to actually turn a profit, making it very important.
Translation, LSU basketball could be TERRIBLE and still make $. Baseball needs to be good and popular to make $.
At LSU, it is football, baseball then basketball. At Tennesse, it could be argued that its football, womens basketball then mens basketball. At worst, UT womens hoops is 3rd behind football and mens hoops. There are exceptions.

1a and 1b at best. You're still talking about a school that loves to reminisce about Sugar and Cotton Bowls of 40 years ago. Their performance in hoops from '89-'97 is very impressive. I still do not think they would put football on the back-burner. Also, baseball is catching basketball in Fayettenam, no?

Generally, I agree.

The Arky fans I know seem more interested in basketball than football, but that's only a small sample.

Football >>>>>>>>>> baseball
It's not even close.

My number 1 sport depends on the season.

Yeah, I mean we LOVE baseball probably as much as anyone, but that's more than a stretch to assume it's equal to football. This isn't 1994.

4444 tell me which school regularly leads the nation in baseball attendance....
Last time i checked profitability doesnt equate to popularity

Dude, when LSU is in the CWS, the attention that game grabs equals the attention of LSU-Auburn in football.

Ur the one talkin about $ generated bud... Thought this was about popularity

The success and popularity of LSU baseball is not only vital to LSU, but the entire conference.

LSU baseball games this year drew more digital viewers than any other sports event broadcasted on the SEC Network’s online platform, SEC Network-Plus — far outpacing even spring football games.

The top five most-watched SEC digital events this year were LSU baseball games — including all three games of the Tigers’ series sweep at Alabama. The series finale against the Crimson Tide on April 4 drew 35,843 unique viewers — the most-watched event on SEC Network-Plus, the digital arm of the league’s new TV channel.

LSU spent about $3.5 million last year in readying for the SEC Network, and the school will spend another $500,000 to $1 million on more upgrades this year, Wagner said.

Do you honestly think they are not correlated?
I honestly don't even know your point. It's like you're agreeing with me, yet arguing at the same time.
