Good luck to the freshman from Atlanta. Getting his first opportunity to start at DH.

Good luck to Romero as well, I'm sure CPM will round robin the DH slot to see who will be productive as the season moves along.

he deserves his chance. I think this young man might turn out to be a masher.

Good there needs to be a change.. Idk how the players like Adams doesn't work on weakness in the offseason or if he has how they can't improve? If I were him I wouldn't have had anyone throw anything but curve balls and sliders to me all day and night until I improved. Then I would sit on this pitch because I know I would get it 80% of the time. He needs to bend his knees and put his weight back to sit on those breaking balls then destroy it. You start hitting that 430 ft they will change their approach.

If only Adams had access to the experts here, he'd be a MLB All Star. Good Lord. LSU does have a hitting coach & I am pretty sure he knows how to work on Adams'weaknesses. Last I saw, though, he was hitting .300??

Woley looks like a masher. Every at bat he has had this year, and I know it has only been a handful, have been quality. Hope he impresses today.

He's come to bat 4 times, he has two hits (one was a double), one walk and one HBP with 1 rbi.

He's never gotten out.....yet.

Templet will likely get some ABs in the early going as well. All part of the early feeling out process. Quality at bats = more opportunities. Simple as that.

I think he'll bat again in spot duty, but the guy can't hit a curveball to save his life. Pitchers just live throwing him curves in the dirt and he's swinging at most of them

Hoping Woley makes the most of the opportunity, he's done well in his small sample size of at bats.

Also would help produce competition at the DH spot if he does well. Need these guys to push each other.

Adams bat speed is was to slow and swing way to long to be effective against good pitching.

This could end up being a special freshman class if Woley, Smith, and Slaughter keep up the pace.
