Good video. I was very fortunate to play pick up games with Randy when he was in high school. He truly wanted to get everybody involved even knowing he was much better than everybody else oh the court. He loved seeing what was developing on a play on the court and making a good pass. Was truly a treat.

I remember watching him play the middle of a 2-3 zone at Newman and completely disrupting the other team's offense. He stole passes from the top to the wing from the middle of the zone

Arguably the greatest talent to ever play at the high school level in Louisiana. Had the knee probs never existed there's no telling how good he could have been. National publications had he and Ronnie Henderson as the best back court tandem in the country before there freshman year. He still did well for himself in the NBA and overseas even though the knees were never 100%

I graduated the same year as Randy and played against him every year from 8th grade on up. He is the reason I realized what NBA talent looks like. Even played against his national championship AAU team in the summer which featured him and Ronnie Henderson, Dwayne Spencer, et al. Nice trip down memory lane.

Agree with most of this conversation. Despite his injuries he made a good living in his sport. We will never know what his ceiling could have been.
