Those late 90s with Rattay teams maybe could have beat LSU. The 70s and most of the 80s hell no.

they had good teams in the 70s and 80s but they played NOBODY. THey would play a few D1AA every season. NO WAY they would have beat us.

Who did Timmy have to throw to? I am not being a smart arse, I am just wondering if their O-line and receiving core was any good or if HE was that good since I have not heard much about him lately.

LA Tech was in the smaller division (pre I-AA) and I-AA for the 70s and 80s. That tech fan is waste off time.

The mid 70s teams were good , with a small college national championship. But beat LSU -NO.

My honest opinion is that, if Louisiana Tech had played Louisiana State for the past 50 years, Louisiana Tech would have won twice't. Just a hunch. Man, those Bulldogs are bad arse.

Troy Edwards and Rattay teamed up for 400 yards against Nebraska, in Frank Solich's first game as H.C. They had three good recievers at that time, but Edwards just lit it up.

Another honest opinion of mine is that Louisiana Tech is afraid of Louisiana-Monroe. They are welcome to change my opinion by putting Louisiana-Monroe on their schedule. Until then, they are presumed scared and Sun Beltish.

Who did he have to throw to? How about the Biletnikoff Award winner for that season Troy Edwards.

The somewhat recent Tech teams that would have had a real shot are 90, 91, 97, 99, 01...we most likely would have been favorites in those games. Maybe 92, 98 and 02 in the mix....92 because of the defense, 98 because of the O.
