Casanova returned 2 punts for td's against Ole Miss in 1970. Peterson needs to do that to be as good.

He could be, but UT shut him down. He needs to bring it vs UF.

I consider them equals, great players, and great representatives for LSU

And these young pups are over here claiming Sheppard is the most dynamic player in LSU history, pfft!

Casanova, Cannon, Stovall, AND Peterson scoff at such nonsense.

From what I've been told about Casanova, PP gets beaten too often to be put in the same category as a shutdown college DB.

Different eras.

But they are both game-changers.

I was at LSU during the days of Tommy Casanova. He was one hell of a football player. But he was not as big or fast as PP. TC also didn't play any offense, so I don't know why PP needs to play on that side of the ball to prove that he is better. I say PP is at least as good if not better than TC. I'm just proud that they are both LSU Tigers!

I think they did try to use him on offense one game. I think the experiment failed.

Since we have all the Old Timers on this thread, could Lee become the Jose Vargus(sp?) Of LSU football for Les?
