What injuries did we have for that game. Any to the Oline?
T bob was struggling to hold his own on more than a few plays. Chapman pretty muched owned him on inside run plays. (No shame in it chapman is good).

What injuries, if any did Bama have for that game?

Observations.
Clearly Bamas QB was working the sidelines hard. He just missed several outs. I really think $abun will burn Duron Carters redshirt for this game. It will give them a large WR presence on the outside.... Sidelines and back shoulder throws.
Also they were moving their best OL jones all over the place. Not too worried though because I believe chavis will matchup better this time around on the DL.
We did wear them down by the end of the game.
This game will come down to JJ. If he throws for more than 175 we win.

T Bob has been playing hurt all year.

For Bama, OL Barrett Jones was in and out all game. Shoulder I believe.

Jones could not have been hurt too bad. They ran to what ever side he was on the first half.

I believe Maze wasn't 100%. Aside from that, I believe both squads were fairly well rested after the bye.

Their D-line is really good, but I do expect a cat and mouse game between Saban and Nick on that. By that I mean LSU will try to work the edges with speed to wear down those big LBs, Nick will adjust, which could loosen things up in the middle, Les comes back with Hilliard up the gut, etc.

Interestingly, it was Nick with the trickeration in this game and it ALMOST worked. Since it bit him in the arse, look for him to go back to the short passing game and feeding the ball to Richardson.

Carter may help, but the question is can McCarron throw that route accurately and consistently. LSU almost had a pick 6 off of one of those (got the pick, not the 6). Don't see little Nicky burning that redshirt, although it wouldn't be a shock. He did it at LSU.

Expect Bama to punt or go for it if they have a 4th down in LSU territory outside of the 35.

I expect LSU to launch it deep early, just like Florida did against Bama and just like LSU tried to do against Georgia. Hopefully it will be a better thrown ball, that pass in the Georgia game was pathetic.

LSU did wear them down. Expect it again.

I hope we don't need him to throw for that much to win. I think we need to shorten the game as much as possible.

i am not 100% certain, but i thought carter was not eligible this season due to his academics.

TBob sprung Ford on the almost-TD run OT.

Go watch the film... takes out a block at the line and then goes downfield to take out the outside linebacker coming from the other side of the field who woulda tackled Ford for about a 3 yard gain.

ETA: Not that it mattered that much with the close FG for a guaranteed win, but if that play had happened in regulation it would have been a huge play.

he just finished a semester, so if his grades are in order, he could be eligible. same way a player can become ineligible for a bowl game if he does poorly in his fall classes.

I don't think JJ really needs to throw for that much to win

We just need him to be clutch. If it's 3rd and 5 and we get a first down completion then that's all we can ask for

Maybe hit one or 2 down the field but clutch is what we need. Just move the chains and shorten the game like you said

I also see Alabama going for it or playing each drive like they are gonna go for it on 4th down. Imo this can make a team like Bama very dangerous.

Our Dline the first game couldn't pressure them much until about the end. I will credit there O-line for this though. Bama was banged up for the first one.

I really would just like for whoever has responsibility for Richardson when he comes out of the backfield pick up on him this time, we were burnt all game last game. As well as in the Secondary we had blown coverages especially when they were in that bunch formation.

I just hope our young pups hold on to the ball in this game and no fumbles. We are playing a lot of young guys and sometimes this is a problem. I hope we practice a lot of tackling fundamentals as well.

Tackling will be huge in this game IMO.

Specifically limiting YAC.

Was it just me....it seemed like we didn't blitz the QB all that much?

Good play by him, granted. But the dude is more of a liability than an asset. At least once a game he fricks up royally.

We didn't blitz a whole lot in the first half also when we did they picked up our blitzes quite nicely.

I think in truth i watched this game about 7-10 times already. Bama was more disciplined the first game and had less broken assignments then we did. Our option caught them off this is what changed the game

Bama was healthy going in. Jones got hurt in the second half, but not enough to slow him down. Maze twisted his ankle in the second half. The only injury they came in with to my knowledge was Lacy and his turf toe, but it didn't seem to affect him too badly.

From what I remember, we started with Adams out at DE. He was key to our run stopping efforts all season and it was clear Mingo playing almost full time at end was a liability at times against the run and wore down a bit with his pass rushing ability.

T-Bob started at center with Lonegran on the sidelines and got massively abused as usual at center on the first 2 drives. They then put Lonegran in and shifted T-Bob to guard where he played a little better but still struggled a lot blocking on inside runs.

Lonegran is hopefully 100% and Adams is back. That is a huge thing people, particularly experts seem to forget about that game. LSU was missing a key starter on the DL.

Look Im sure most of us are grateful that we have T-Bob. He was the #1 or 2 center coming out of highschool im sure most people just expected him to play better who knows.

Im grateful for t-bob without him we would have been in trouble in spots in the season.

As to the injuries Maze i had heard had already had a gimpy ankle prior to our game and it was injured during our game. As well as I thought there massive tackle Jessie Williams was banged up as well.

I like you think that having Adams back should be huge. I would just like to see us have no turnovers and play assignment football I think thats all we can ask.

T-Bob is useful. The kid is an average OL, and we've been lucky to have him for depth. Pointing out his limitations is not a big deal. E-knighting for him, however, is just pathetic. T-Bob is a big boy and can handle criticism.

Maze was fine during the game. He got injured in the second half, but may have had a mild sprain coming in.

As for Jesse Williams, you are correct, he got hurt in the game, but was only out for a handful of plays and returned to the game. Not a single player for Bama was permanently out in that game at any point.

In the end, we'll have a better pass rush this game IMO because Mingo won't have to be on the field as much on 1st and 2nd downs.

glad to hear about us missing Adams first game and getting him back healthy.

As for Tbob....I'm not Crapping on him at all......it's just he did not match up well in that game. Not many would...Bama has good players. I appreciate the fact he can play 2 positions on the line.

It doesn't seem like we brought TM7 or Brooks off the edge too much...or at least not as much as most other games this year.

Yea that sounds about right Geaux.

We didn't blitz to much in the first half as Chavis saved brooks and hb till the second half and end of the game.

We really played a vanilla game plan on off. While Bama was throwing the kitchen sink an attempt to jump start their offense.

It will be interesting to see who changes what and does what this game. Bama will master the option in the break just like we did g-tech. I think if our tight ends become more involved in the passing game this is our advantage.
