Quantavius Leslie NFL Outlook

Will Quantavius Leslie become the 2015 version of James Wright?
Leslie is 6'4", came to LSU as a heralded wide receiver out of JUCO, and had a strong spring training before his senior season. However, this year's WR talent was less than the likes of Beckham and Landry who kept Wright off the field last season.
With LSU's recent track record of placing receivers in the NFL, Quantavius is sure to be on somebody's radar. What are the odds he gets picked up as an UDFA?

I'm going to call no on this one.
James Wright was a decent WR stuck behind some great experienced WRs. If Quantavius Leslie was any good, he would have played this year with Landry and Beckham gone, along with Wright and Boone.

His height is not the problem. Most everything else his. He's pencil thin and does not catch well. The lack of bulk lends to poor blocking, not much over the middle or OTC, to potential injury, etc.
There are a lot of 6-4 guys. If height were all that mattered.

Will not be picked up by anyone. Focused on being a dad at this point I believe. That should say enough.

He has a newborn I expect him to grind to provide for his family.

Wright contributed on special teams big time while stuck behind two legends. Leslie hasn't sniffed the field for a meaningful snap.

If Terrance Toliver couldn't make it in the NFL...don't see Quantavius making it either
Maybe the Boston Battlers with Tahj Boyd

Don't know, but he was real skinny and wasn't able to put on any weight in his time here. I really thought this guy would blow up when we first starting recruiting him out of JUCO.
Like others said, didn't catch well, didn't run routes well, and his focus was more towards his child who I believe had problems. Add on that he was rail thin, and that doesn't make for a good special teams player or blocker. His only skills were his height and speed, and if that was all, Dural had that and more.

I'm sure he could run a go route, haha. I expected him to be used as a deep threat, but Dural can do everything he can and more. He lost out. I still expected to see him a little bit in some game action. He will have to run in the 4.3s to be invited to a camp. I actually have heard he may be able to do so.

My bad, I meant all he really had was height and speed (I fixed it). I thought he would come here, gain enough weight, learn some route running, improve his hands a bit, and could be similar to Demetrius Byrd for us. At the very least, I thought he'd be a deep threat and big red zone target.

I felt the same way.

He could have started on our ultra conservative offense this season and nobody would have noticed.

Best of luck to him in life.

James Wright played in every game his last two years if I'm not mistaken, primarily on ST. Wright is just more of a football player than QL, not saying that Leslie has no shot.
