The kid has been an absolute wrecking ball, particularly on defending kick returns. Love the way he plays. If he can take that physicality to the WR position, he's going to be a superstar. At 6'0 190 as a true freshman, he could also be one hell of a DB.

I think he'll be a Safety next year if Landon doesn't come here. I think Jarvis would be as good as LaRon.

Ha. My buddy and I were saying the same thing during the game Sat.

Yeah, he is an absolute head hunter on special teams. Deserves major props.

We wonder who will have the speed to get down the field quickly when RR leaves, Jarvis just maybe it.

Why play him at Receiver? Dude ADORES contact! With his ball skills, fluidity and love for contact, he'd be a TERROR at Free Safety.

Loved watching him fly down on coverage. Man sized hits on kick return will only help the running game when he is blocking as a wide out.

This

He's like a heat seeking missile on KO coverage. Also, he absolutely destroyed some WVA dude on the KO return right before the one that Mo took to the house. He's one of the (many) reasons that teams end up quitting against LSU before 60 minutes are up. 80 is a beast.

He is to RR what TM was to PP. Big physical receiver that can scoot. Can't wait to see him crack block some dude while ford cuts the edge. He's a beast.

Jarvis gets the LSU hit of the year award for the hit on the AU kick off returner.

Remember, as a high school senior he was rated ahead of Beckham, but Beckham had such a great pass catching record as a freshman this season that he outdistanced Landry. I look for Landry to be outstanding either at safety or receiver for the Tigers the next 3 seasons.

I loved seeing the SECr talk about how he was crushing people and saying "oh yeah, btw, that our FRESHMAN WR".

He's a really physical player. You can tell he likes contact because of his special teams play and the way he run blocks at wideout.

It would be silly to move him, he will be a great receiver. He will continue to excel on special teams though. A lot of offensive players play special teams. If you watch TM7 second punt return look for Russell Shepard. He blocked three different players on that play.

That's pretty funny, because one of the things that Michael Clayton made his name on his freshman year was drilling guys on kick coverage. Remember the hit HE put on an AU returner in 2001?!?

And, even going into his junior year it was rumored that he could be moving to safety until Jack Hunt looked solid at the position.

Like Clayton, I'm sure he could move but I picture him lined up at WR along ODBjr for the next three years.
