Problem with the D - 2015 recruiting class
Posted by Ghost of Colby on 9/17/17 at 1:12 pm40
The entire 2 deep defense seems to be made up of either:
- Seniors that haven't played a lot throughout their career or have been disappointing (except for Lacouture)
Or
- Freshmen or Sophmores seeing their first significant playing time.
Where are the Juniors that should be entering their prime? LSU signed only 2 on the DL or LB in the 2015 class. Isaiah Washington, who's no longer on the team, and A. Key.
2015 class only had 4 or 5 defensive signees total, including D. Jackson & Tolliver II.
The good news is that the young guys should get better as the season progresses, and Key will be the only Junior we lose to the draft. The bad news is that the Front 7 is very thin

Exactly
Let's stop pretending this team is loaded with experienced talent and leadership. We lost 3 first round picks that were all massive team leaders.
Brennan will be great for us next year.
