NOTE: Due to personal reasons, I was unable to complete the preview of Auburn as you have come to know. However, I was able to get the stat charts done, and those are below. Here is the quick and dirty: Both teams are similar in that we prefer our starters out there deep into the game. The difference is that Auburn's bullpen has been even worse all season than ours has been lately. Friday night we should be able to out-score them, but it will probably be the closest of the 3 games. Saturday night is the battle of both teams' real ace in Lange and Keegan Thompson, and it should be a good one until the mid-late innings when LSU finally gets to Thompson. On Sunday, McCord is starting for Auburn, and he has allowed 9 ER in 12 innings during his 3 starts against SEC teams. If the rain allows a game 3, favor goes to LSU with a much better starter and a deeper pen. Offensively, just don't let Anfernee beat you. Auburn doesn't steal at all besides Grier, and they can't throw guys out if they even want to. LSU should be aggressive. No excuse not to take the series or sweep being at home.

Auburn Tigers (20-13, 4-8) at #3 LSU Fighting Tigers (28-5, 8-4) at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field in Baton Rouge, LA.

Auburn Tigers
Record: 20-13
Conference: 4-8, t6th SEC west
Non-Conf: 16-5
Home: 15-7
Away: 4-6
Neutral: 1-0

Shouldn't the helpful links say Auburn Schedule and not Alabama's schedule?

Thanks guy...that was a decent analysis. I agree with the sweep, if they can get the games played. At this point, I see TAM and Vandy ahead of LSU in the big scheme...obviously that can change.

Before last weekend, I said I would've been very happy with 5-1 against the state of Alabama. After sweeping the Gumps, though, I'm getting greedy. I want the sweep here too!
