Basically.
Baylor is going to be a national seed from the B12 thus can't play A&M till Omaha and thus getting a relatively close team in Rice.
The only other scenario I could see happening for LSU is the selection committee pairing LSU with Virginia and shipping A&M to UCLA.
LSU and A&M is always a great matchup and both are relatively close so it's an easy choice for the selection board.

It seems a given A&M comes here, but if you look at a lot of the projections you have as many as 4 potential teams traveling cross country for supers. If the committee wants to avoid this, they could well send A&M out west and pair us with someone like UVa.
