I really believe this guy is the key to winning the Bama game. LF7 is good, but they are on a new level when JD is blocking. If he's back to Auburn level of play, we win by 10.

would be great to have him back, but I may like the offensive approach more if he's out and the dives are a no go. Im conflicted.

Mouton GIFs are about halfway down

No he's not. The Advocate "Film analysis" showed two examples of him running right past tacklers. It's comical, actually.

JD Moore will help our run game tremendously! Fingers crossed.

LSU can certainly win without him but it sure would be nice to have him out there blowing people up.

We have played some good football with and without him. I don't think he's the key, but I would like to have him healthy and able to produce.

Has LF broken off a long one since JD went out? I can't remember any.

Wow, two whole times? You know that he's the only other real option besides JD Moore right? If they had somebody better then they would be playing. We should really just hope that Moore is better instead of picking on a true freshman who has been here a whole three months for missing a couple of blocking assignments.

the moore thing has been incredibly overblown ever since one announcer made such a big deal about it.

i appreciate moore and all he does, but LSU went on to have their best offensive/rushing down after he left.

moore would be a huge get back, but he doesn't define the team and their entire success.

LSU is still a better team than Alabama and anyone they have faced regardless.

but yes I would love for him to be healthy and back by the game.

lol.

yes the SC game, 2nd half.. Jeter threw the lead block.. he went for like 80 yards.. then Guice went on to outrush Fournette...

all without Mr Moore.. we rushed for over 300 on south carolina without Moore..

Gilmore has indeed caused this overblown concern. It would be great to have him back though.

Yes in the beginning of the second half of SCar.

Many of us on here were raving about JDM well before Gilmore. He had been playing fantastic football.

The key to winning this game has nothing to do with him. It will be based on field position and turnovers. If we can improve on special teams and win the turnover battle we can win this game. We also need to tighten up the big plays given up on defense but the key will be field position/turnovers.

LOL, that was a worn out SC after a long crazy week.

This team is better with Moore than without, period.

I think we're better with him for sure, but the offense opens up more since we haven't had him.

Seems like without him the coaches choose to put out an extra Receiver instead of the backup fullbacks more often.

I want him healthy, but I have mixed feelings about what his return will do to the play calling as well.

The fact that LF has the most confidence is JDM is reason enough to want him back.

He makes LF a better runner.
LF has admitted it.

Maybe at some point he will be, but he is not now. LF7 needs JD to clear the way.

Retraction:

I made a mistake. I thought penrod's comment was about Moore.

In fairness, mouton is decent. It takes a LOT of reps to get comfy with all of the schemes thrown at blockers. It's like a mobile lineman.
