PP actually did a great job. Sure JJ had 10 catches, but only 89 yards. If I told you before the game the JJ would have less than 100 yards receiving, you would have taken it. The key is they let him catch the short pass, took everyone else away and did not give up the deep ball. Great game plan.

JJ had a great game and PP7 was making sure they did not get beat on the long routes so he gave inside position towards the safety.

already have a few threads on this but for the record


Julio played great and so did Peterson


Offense always has the advantage of knowing the route and where the ball will be placed..

Defensive Backs thrive on mistakes (small or big) McElroy made very few mistakes and none when throwing towards peterson.

You cant defend a perfect pass, just hope to loosen the receiver from the ball or prevent the YAC.
