Gosh, there were so many brutally shitty calls, it is really hard to choose, but....

I think my favorite was the alley hoop to Simmons where he is whacked in mid-air, but the ref steps in and says "nope, no free throws, this happened on the floor". LSU promptly doesn't score on the possession then UF takes it down the floor and scores.

That was WWE worthy. I LOLed.

Fireable offense in my opinion. You should lose your referee certification over that.

JJs decision to intentionally foul with only 10 seconds on the play clock when we were only down 3 with 21 seconds left.

Dude is really bad at strategery

Nah. This is the SEC. That's a great call.

Expect that guy to see more action in critical games.

LOLOL

You seriously have to laugh at this. Good stuff.

I thought I saw that too, but didn't bitch about it as I wasn't sure. If there is a pic/gif of that, it would be great.

I learned my lesson after starting a shitty thread about SEC refs during football season. Until I see a replay (or rewind my TV and rewatch), I won't complain.....yet...

The possible flagrant on Simmons that was not even a foul.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th offensive penalties on Simmons. He was driving and getting contacted from 2-3 players with every drive and very few calls against UF, but he was called for 3 charges and 1 moving screen. It was horrible. The first charging call was acceptable, but the second and third charge and the screen were horrible... Even the announcers were calling the refs out saying, "that's not a foul" and "that should have been on the defense."

Oh that was a thing of beauty!

I almost quit watching at that point, but remembered, it is only entertainment. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what was to come next. It was truly an adventure.

The last one was pretty funny. Guy from UF was turned to the side AND moving...

Charge.

Yeah, it did seem like they had it out for Simmons or something. It's rare to see a player get called for 3 charges in one game in college. And the moving screen call was a complete joke at the point in the game.

Agreed, this isn't like big time church league basketball, where the refs being good is important.

Easily the worst.

Serious question...Does someone for the SEC actually go back and review the officiating of these games? At least to let them know they did an absolute shite job?

Did anyone else see the ref from behind blow the whistle before that play was ever even completed? I'm not a doomsday/conspiracy guy but he was looking to call that before it even happend

I'm sure there is, but in this case, it benefited one of the two top brand bball teams in the conference. Nothing will be done about it.

Nah. They did a great job. They helped the brand team get a much-needed home win.
