Possible log jam for determining bowl games

There's a decent chance that in 3 weeks, Georgia Auburn, LSU, A&M, and Arkansas all have 8 wins, and most likely a 9-4 Tennessee as well. Unlike the last couple of years if that happens LSU will be on big time upswing instead of fading away, so we should actually get some preferential treatment this time around. But once again some 8 win team is going to be stuck in a Belk or Texas bowl

Let's get this out of the way now because it will be asked and bad info will be spewed for the next 3 weeks.
Bowl order:
1. Playoffs
2. Next highest ranked team gets the Sugar Bowl
3. Other NY6 bowls
4. Citrus bowl (formerly the capitol 1 bowl) (obligated to take the available team with the most wins or a team within 1 win)
5-10 AdvoCare, Liberty, Belk, music city, outback, Taxslayer. (These bowls are all on an even playing field as far as selection and prestige. The SEC determines which team goes where based on match ups, geography, and previous year bowl destinations).
11. Birmingham bowl
12. Independence bowl

Auburn will have 4 losses though....unless they pull off the upset

I just hope LSU gets a good bowl bid this year. Sick of these garbage bowls we've been playing in the last 4 years. We are better than our record shows. Miles cost us two games. I just want LSU to get in a good game with a good opponent. If we win, LSU will probably end up in the Top10. It would be nice. We can play with any team in the country. We definitively shouldn't be sitting at #24 right now. Dropping 11 spots after holding #1 alabama scoreless for over 3 qtrs.

Irrelevant. Sugar bowl obligated to take highest ranked SEC team not in the playoffs.

If they lose to us and Florida State, 7-4 UF won't be higher than an 8-3 LSU that beat them.

Are you 100% sure about this? I can't find anywhere in writing where that is the case. The SEC Champ is guaranteed the Sugar if they don't make the playoff, but if the SEC Champ gets into the playoffs, it appears the Sugar can pull how they see fit

If LSU wins out they are likely #2 in the whole conference.

If LSU wins the next two games they will beat and pass the only SEC teams ahead of them except Alabama. Does not seem any way they don't get Sugar invite. May be against loser of Michigan vs Ohio State game, possibly Penn State.
How about a rematch with Wisconsin? Probably would not happen, but who knows.

If the SEC champion is chosen for the playoff, the next-highest-ranked SEC team in the CFP rankings will represent the league in the Sugar Bowl. In hindsight, that makes LSU dropping 11 spots in the committee rankings after the Alabama loss significant. The Tigers will need to win out and have help, but the path to the Big Easy certainly is there.

They will only pass Auburn if Auburn loses to Bama.

LSU better be second highest ranked CFP team in the SEC if LSU and Bama win out
Auburn would have 4 losses to our 3
A&M will have at least 3 losses with LSU owning head to head
UF will have 3 losses with LSU owning the head to head
UTk will have 4 losses with loss to bama in SECCG

Be that as it may, I'd still rather the Outback or Music City to any of the others.
Which one was the Peach Bowl? Chick-fil-a Bowl?
With all these sponsorship changes I can't keep up.

And WTF is up with AdvoCare sponsoring so much NCAA shite?
What's next, a time share company sponsoring a bowl game? Avon?

I think Tenn. will make the SECCG, not UK.

UTk = University of Tennessee. k means Knoxville, to separate from University of Texas. Similar to South Carolina being called USCe (east) to not be confused with the University Southern California
