"Over the past year, after numerous negotiations with the building owner we were able to get him to agree to make the much needed structural repairs at Big Woodrows. These repairs, along with a much needed facelift for the venue, were to take place over the summer. After we shut down in June the landlord refused to move forward on the needed repairs. This left us with no option, for the present, but to shut down."

Place was a dump and the TVs were all decades old. Plus they owed the LSU Houston Alumni association money.

it went to shite when the new owners took over. they stopped catering to Saints and LSU fans which was about 80% of their patrons during football season and lost a lot of revenue

We were told it was a great place last year and went before the Wisconsin game, it was horrible service.

I watched the LSU-Alabama game there in 2013. It was OK, but a little raggedly. Of course, that was a horribly frustrating game to watch and the largely pro-LSU crowd got nasty toward the end, so that may have colored my impression.

This. In fairness though so was another bar we went to that day. I just dont think the bars there planned on that many LSU fans coming that weekend.

Place was pretty cool back in the day when it the LSU watch spot. It was an average bar with decent- sub par food. Was a little run down. What made it though was they catered to LSU fans. Played the songs after touchdowns and had good drink specials for LSU games. Was there for the 2003 NC game and it was wild. A big game back in the day and LSU fans had it rocking.

Christian's Tailgate in the Heights took over as official LSU alumni bar last year. It's legit

It's been probably 10 years since I've been to BW... when did that happen? The food and service always sucked, and understandably so with the number of LSU fans that packed in there, but the atmosphere was always awesome.
