It seems that Coach PM's teams often underachieve on the offensive side.
Are we recruiting players who have peaked in high school and do not have the ability to produce on the major college level?
Or, on the contrary, do we have a poor system in place that does not allow the players to develop their inherent and natural batting skills?

I don't spend the bulk of my time on this forum as some of you apparently do.

Willie Mays said about baseball when asked about the science of the game.

"They throw it, I hit it. They hit it, I catch it"

Someone is way to much into the head of LSU hitters.

Haven't we lead the SEC or been in the top 3 of most offensive categories the last couple of years?

It's the opposing pitchers.

We are a top 10 team who's slumping at the plate right now.

I know this topic has been discussed ad nauseam. However, as long as LSU continues to struggle at the plate, be it during the regular season or post season, this discussion will continue. A telling opinion comes from a friend of mine who is the parent of a current player. He said that in his opinion, our players ( his son included) do not get much hitting instruction/strategy after they get to LSU. When you consider players like Bregman, makes you think there is much truth to this. It seems no matter how bad the hitting gets, Mainieri will never let Sanchez go. Too much personal connection.

Take a look at Bregman's stats from last year to this year.
