Absolutely. Why play a person who gets a hit close to 1 out of 2 wRISP. That's just dumb. I mean I hate hits when our runners are on second or third. Absolutely hate them.

Yeah they were talking about it tonight this season how Stevenson hits righties like near 500 but lefties in the low .200's and then Chinea they said was complete opposite when it comes to matchups. I don't know the numbers but Chinea was awful vs lefties (which you wouldn't typically assume) but hit righties extremely well. Wish I had the exact numbers..

Just for kicks. When he is not batting 4th(which at that time the lineup was perfect for him to be) he is batting .368. He is batting .438 when playing 1b during those games. So his average wRISP went down batting 7/8 but his average went from .277 to over .300.
You had a case before moving his order due to average only. Now it's just stupid to even question why Chinea is in. Pretty much .360 his last 5 games. I really think he is banging some of your moms. But hey, yall are smarter than stats and coach Paul.
